Our Story Starts with Me and Marley
Marley has a quiet way of making his presence felt. At home, he’s calm and independent, happy to settle into his own space. When meeting someone new, he takes his time. His trust is something you earn, and knowing him means giving him room to be himself.
But take him into the woods with me, and another side of him comes alive. He wants to lead the way, explore every trail, and see what’s around the next corner. Athletic, majestic, and full of curiosity—that’s Marley in his element. I’d look forward to our adventures just to see how happy he became.
And then there’s his softer side. For a dog who values his independence, Marley has a remarkable way of sensing when I need company. Sometimes he simply comes and sits beside me. No fuss, no grand gesture. Just his presence—and somehow, that’s enough.
My bond with Marley is the inspiration behind Paw Cabana. He has taught me to pay attention, be patient, and appreciate each dog’s individual personality. As I build this business, those lessons guide the care I want to offer: taking time to earn trust, respecting boundaries, and helping every dog feel comfortable being themselves.
Building Paw Cabana
Every journey starts somewhere. Come along for my first visit to grooming school—one of the first steps toward bringing Paw Cabana to life.
The Care We’re Building Toward
Marley taught me that every dog connects differently. Some seek affection right away; others need time, space, and patience.
That understanding is shaping Paw Cabana: one-on-one grooming, gentle handling, and attention to the dog in front of me. As I complete my training and prepare to launch, those values guide the business I’m building.
